Our next tertulia features Robin Whittaker on Bertolt Brecht, playwright, theatre practitioner, playwright, and poet on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Whittaker is an Associate Professor and Drama Advisor in the Department of English at St. Thomas University and Artistic Producer and Faculty Advisor for Theatre St. Thomas. What is a tertulia? A tertulia can be described as a literary and artistic social gathering or philosophy cafe where participants talk about ideas. Tertulias combine words, music, poetry, art and whatever else speakers want to share.
New time/new place! Our tertulias this winter will take place on Wednesdays at 7:00pm at Milda’s Pizzas in the Charlotte Street Arts Centre, 732 Charlotte St.. Come early and order delicious pizza or treats made with seasonal local produce and beverages.
