Escorts at the Morgentaler Clinic, with help from the wonderful clinic staff, organized a rally on November 1st to counter the 40 Days for Life that had been outside the clinic for the last 35 or so days. The goal of the 40 Days protest is to end abortion. Our goal was to tell the people of Fredericton that not only do we have a voice, but that we support women, in whatever choice they decide to make.
Forty people, men, women, young and old came out (in the rain I might add) to support women’s rights from 4pm on 6pm that Thursday. I was really touched that this many people showed up, especially considering the weather and that it had only been organized the week before.
